According to him, starting January 1, 2025, the government will introduce a monthly "teacher's supplement" to teachers' salaries of 1,000 hryvnias "net." This amount will be raised to 2,000 hryvnias starting September 1, 2025. Every teacher will also receive this amount "net."

"This decision is part of our support for those who are currently teaching and nurturing the youth that will build Ukraine's future. We are grateful to Ukrainian educators and teachers for your dedicated work," Shmyhal emphasized.

The Minister of Education, Oksen Lisovyi, confirmed that in 2025, teachers' salaries will increase: by 1,000 hryvnias from January 1, 2025 (1,300 hryvnias before taxes) and by 2,000 hryvnias from September 1, 2025 (2,600 hryvnias before taxes).

"I understand that this decision does not solve all the problems currently facing teachers' salaries, and it is a first step towards changing the situation even amid martial law and budget deficits," Lisovyi clarified.

Recall that recently the Minister of Education suggested a slight increase in teachers' salaries in 2025. However, prior to this, the Ministry of Education had indicated that teachers should not expect salary increases just yet.

Earlier, Lisovyi responded to how much funding is needed to raise salaries for all education workers.
