Ukraine is prepared to hand over its captured soldiers to North Korea if the country assists in organizing the exchange of Ukrainian fighters held by Russia.
This was stated by President Vladimir Zelensky.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is willing to return Kim Jong-un's people if he can facilitate their exchange for Ukrainian warriors held in Russia. The President also mentioned that there might be other options for those North Korean soldiers who do not wish to return.
«In particular, those Koreans who express a desire to promote peace by spreading the Korean truth about this war will have that opportunity», he added.
Recall that Ukrainian fighters captured two North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. Although they were injured, they survived. The captives were taken to Kyiv for interviews with SBU investigators.
The SBU added that one of them was captured on January 9, 2025, by fighters from tactical group No. 84 of the Special Operations Forces, while the other was taken by airborne troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
