На встрече в Париже Дональд Трамп говорил о немедленном прекращении огня, а Владимир Зеленский – о необходимости гарантий безопасности для Украины.

President-elect of the United States Donald Trump, during a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron in Paris, reiterated his desire for an immediate ceasefire and negotiations to swiftly end the war in Ukraine. Zelensky, in turn, emphasized the need for security guarantees for Ukraine.

The details of the meeting were reported by Reuters, whose journalists spoke with five sources.

Media revealed details of the peace plan that Trump’s special representative will promoteRetired General Keith Kellogg, whom Trump intends to appoint as his special representative, has already developed a detailed plan to end the war in Ukraine.

The meeting of the three leaders lasted 35 minutes without advisors. According to sources, specific details of a peace vision were not discussed, but "Trump reiterated that he wants an immediate ceasefire and negotiations to quickly end the war."

Sources also claim that during the meeting, Trump "was friendly, respectful, and open, and seemed to be in listening mode."

The meeting provided some initial hints about how negotiations to end the war might proceed.

"During the meeting, some key points were raised – for example, it was mentioned that guarantees are needed, as a ceasefire alone is not enough; Putin could violate it again, as he has done before," a source in the Office of the President of Ukraine reported.

When asked how Trump perceived this, the source replied: "He is thinking about all the details."

According to one official, Macron and Zelensky were "on the same wavelength" during the meeting in Paris, but "did not corner Trump." The French president used the meeting to demonstrate that Europeans have already done a lot to support Ukraine and that they are ready to share the security burden evenly with the U.S.

Another official noted that Macron and Zelensky explained to Trump that "Putin in 2024 is not the same as he was in 2017," when the elected U.S. president dealt with him from the White House.

Recall that Zelensky described the meeting with Donald Trump as good and productive, and emphasized that the U.S. president-elect is "as always, determined."

After the meeting, Trump stated that Zelensky and Ukraine would like to reach an agreement with Russia to "stop this madness." He called for immediate negotiations.
