Бывшему председателю Броварской райгосадминистрации Владимиру Майбоженко назначили штраф в  31 тысячу гривен, а автомобиль вернули.

The court has announced the verdict for the former head of the Brovary District State Administration, Vladimir Maibozhenko. He was charged with causing a traffic accident while under the influence of alcohol, resulting in injuries to four individuals.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

It has been reported that the Brovary court, presided over by Judge Tatyana Vasilenko, delivered a verdict in the case of former head of the Brovary District State Administration, Vladimir Maibozhenko.

According to the prosecutor's office, the defendant's lawyer submitted a reconciliation agreement during the trial, under which the parties agreed to a penalty using part 1 of Article 69 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (imposing a lighter penalty than provided by law).

He was fined 31,432 UAH (covering costs for judicial examinations and other court expenses) and was prohibited from driving for 3 years.

Meanwhile, the Volvo vehicle, which had been impounded during this time, will be returned to Maibozhenko.

The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office stated that it would appeal this verdict.

Recall that on the evening of April 26 last year, in Brovary, Kyiv region, a SUV drove into a crowd of people near a fast-food restaurant. At the wheel was then-head of the RDA, Vladimir Maibozhenko. He lost control and veered onto the pedestrian zone. As a result, a child and three adults were injured. Police who arrived at the scene determined that the driver was intoxicated – the breathalyzer showed 2.31 promille of alcohol in his blood.

Maibozhenko was notified of suspicion and was placed under preventive measure. President Vladimir Zelensky dismissed him from his position as head of the Brovary RDA.
