As of January 29, the application process for rental subsidies for internally displaced persons (IDPs) has become available.
This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy.
Internally displaced persons from occupied regions or areas with ongoing hostilities, or IDPs whose apartments have been destroyed and are uninhabitable, can apply for rental subsidies if they have no other housing in the controlled territory of Ukraine and if the cost of renting exceeds 20% of the family's total income.
Rental subsidies can be applied for offline at the nearest Pension Fund service center or administrative services center; online through the PFU electronic services portal or mobile application.
“It is important to remember that the tenant and the landlord must not be relatives, the tenant does not receive state assistance for housing for internally displaced persons, and the landlord does not receive compensation under the ‘Prihystok’ program,” the agency emphasized.
The Ministry of Social Policy explained that the subsidy amount for rent will be calculated individually for each family, taking into account the average income per person in the family, the number of family members, and the rental costs in a specific region.
As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers announced that displaced persons in all regions will be able to receive subsidies for renting housing. It was also reported that 15 billion hryvnias were allocated for compensation to displaced persons for destroyed homes.
