According to the GUR, a fake is circulating in the Armenian information space, accusing Ukrainian intelligence of attempting to instigate or facilitate the onset of an armed conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Propagandists are trying to convince people that a new Azerbaijani-Armenian war would force Russia to open a "second front," thus dispersing its military forces, which would benefit Ukraine.

The basis for the information operation was a fake report allegedly from the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine addressed to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Gavrilyuk. The circulated document contains several gross errors and does not meet the requirements for the formatting of official documents in Ukraine,” the message explains.

Intelligence officials note that this information operation aims to discredit Ukraine and worsen Ukrainian-Armenian and Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations, which primarily benefits Russia.

Recall that on January 31, Slovakia accused the so-called "Georgian Legion" allegedly subordinate to the GUR of attempting a coup. However, the serviceman accused by the Slovaks has no connection to Ukrainian intelligence.

Additionally, Russians spread false information that during the wildfires in California, eight mansions allegedly owned by high-ranking Ukrainian military officials were damaged.
