Уполномоченный по правам человека Верховной Рады Дмитрий Лубинец встретился в Беларуси с российской омбудсменкой Татьяной Москальковой.

The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Lubinets, met in Belarus with the Russian ombudswoman, Tatyana Moskalkova.

He announced this on his Telegram channel.

More than 900 "Azov" fighters remain in Russian captivity: how many have been freedSince the start of the large-scale war, approximately 200 Azov fighters have been returned from Russian captivity. More details can be found in the infographic.

Lubinets shared that the negotiations took place with the assistance of the Belarusian side and with the participation of the ICRC. The parties discussed several important issues.

Additionally, the Ukrainian side communicated with representatives of the ICRC missions in both countries.

“We exchanged lists of prisoners of war, visited by both sides (Ukraine – Russian POWs in our country, Russia – Ukrainian POWs on its territory). We exchanged letters. This also marked the beginning of a new format: we delivered letters from Ukrainian relatives to Ukrainian POWs in Russia,” wrote the ombudsperson.

He also noted that Ukraine once again facilitated family reunifications: as a result of the negotiations, a 91-year-old woman was able to meet her son.

“I want to emphasize that I am engaging with the Russian Commissioner for Human Rights to address humanitarian issues, facilitate the return of Ukrainians home, and obtain information about our citizens in Russia,” Lubinets summarized.

It is worth mentioning that today it was reported that Ukraine, as a result of repatriation efforts, managed to bring back the bodies of another 563 fallen soldiers to controlled territory.

Earlier, Lubinets assessed the likelihood of an “all-for-all” exchange between Ukraine and Russia.
