The Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico stated that he "considers it his personal duty" to travel to Moscow for the Victory Parade next year.
He mentioned this in an interview with Russian propagandist Olga Skabeeva, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"Yes, I would be very happy. I will thank the Red Army, the soldiers of the Red Army. During the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Carpathian-Dukla operation, I said that Marshal Konev deserves a monument in Slovakia. I would consider it an honor to come to Moscow to participate in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and, above all, the victory over fascism. I feel that this is my personal duty," said Fico.
Recall that earlier Fico stated that "Nazi units" are fighting in Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed disappointment over this statement regarding the military.
The Prime Minister of Slovakia also mentioned that he wants to restore "normal" relations with Russia after the war in Ukraine ends.
