Рождественский стол из 12 традиционных блюд будет стоить в этом году около 1,4 тысяч гривен – на 41 процент дороже, чем в 2023-м.

The Christmas table consisting of 12 traditional dishes will cost an average family approximately 1,365 hryvnias. This is 41% more expensive than last year (970 hryvnias).

How basic products have risen in price during the full-scale warPrices for all basic products – bread, meat, fish, dairy, vegetables, and more – have increased during the full-scale war. A comparison is available in the infographic.

The estimated total, calculated based on average supermarket prices as of early December, includes the preparation of the following dishes: kutia and uzvar, fried fish, vinaigrette, dumplings (with potatoes, cabbage, and cherries), stewed cabbage, lean borscht with beans, fried potatoes, and fresh and pickled vegetables.

Wheat kutia (950 g) will cost 175.05 hryvnias, making it the second most expensive dish on the festive table. This year, the priciest ingredients for this dish are poppy seeds and walnuts.

The traditional uzvar made from dried apples, pears, and prunes will be priced at about 105.36 hryvnias.

The most expensive dish this year will be fried fish (carp) – 306.97 hryvnias.

The third most expensive dish will be lean borscht with beans – 131.94 hryvnias for 2.5 kg of ingredients. The most costly ingredient here is white dry beans (43.53 hryvnias for 300 g).

The vinaigrette salad (1.73 kg of ingredients) will cost 67.75 hryvnias. The most expensive components will be pickled barrel cucumbers – 21.4 hryvnias for 200 g.

Dumplings with potatoes (1.51 kg of ingredients) will be priced at 50.06 hryvnias, dumplings with cabbage (1.481 kg of ingredients) – 52.5 hryvnias, and dumplings with cherries (810 g of ingredients) – 69.74 hryvnias.

Stewed cabbage (2.229 kg of ingredients) will cost 109.88 hryvnias. Fried potatoes cooked in oil will be 45.19 hryvnias.

The cost of pickled goods: sauerkraut – 75 hryvnias for 500 g, pickled barrel cucumbers – 42 hryvnias for 400 g. Fresh cucumbers will be priced at 70 hryvnias for half a kilogram, and tomatoes – 64 hryvnias.
