On December 25 in Kyiv, the GDBR detained the former head of the Odessa regional TCC, who had just been released from custody after posting bail.
This was reported by the GDBR press service.
The agency has not disclosed the name of the detained individual, but based on the photos and case materials, it is believed to be Yevgeny Borisov.
Borisov had previously posted bail of 39.364 million hryvnias and was released from custody. However, it has been reported that the GDBR received information indicating that after his release, Borisov intended to flee from the investigation, particularly by leaving the country.
GDBR agents detained the former official in Kyiv today. He was informed of suspicions regarding new criminal offenses under Part 3 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 114-1 (organizing obstruction to the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period), and Part 3 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 366 (organizing the preparation and issuance of an obviously false official document) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the GDBR, Borisov arranged for himself to receive a non-combat injury that was not even sustained while performing his official duties. Based on a false decision from a service check and according to the conclusion of the MSEC, he was unjustifiably awarded an additional remuneration totaling 165,480 UAH for the period from April to June 2022.
The GDBR is also investigating a criminal case against the former military commissar for organizing the legalization of funds obtained through criminal means.
As part of this criminal proceeding, based on GDBR materials, the court transferred to the management of ARMA a building covering 857 square meters valued at 4 million euros and an office measuring 223.9 square meters worth 510 million euros located in the Spanish resort of Marbella. The property belonged to the mother and wife of the former military commissar.
The court also transferred to ARMA vehicles including a MERCEDES-BENZ EQV worth 2.9 million UAH, a Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG worth 8.4 million UAH, and a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 valued at 3 million UAH, which were owned by the wife, mother, and mother-in-law of the former military commissar.
It is worth noting that the head of the Odessa regional TCC Yevgeny Borisov was dismissed on June 28. This occurred after journalists discovered his family's assets in Spain worth millions of dollars. The real estate and luxury vehicles were acquired during the full-scale war with the Russian Federation.
Borisov was arrested with the possibility of posting bail set at 150 million UAH. Subsequently, the court imposed an arrest on the property, money, and bank accounts of Borisov and his family members in Ukraine.
He was released from custody, but was detained again and new preventive measures were imposed.
