Zelensky spoke about the reports from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrskiy, Chief of General Staff Anatoly Burhilievich, Commander of the Ground Forces Mikhail Drapaty, and Deputy Head of the President's Office Pavel Palisa.
"The situation at the front: Pokrovsk direction, Kurakhovo area. Frontline needs. Kursk operation," the president reported.
Additionally, according to Zelensky, he discussed some personnel matters with the military.
"In particular, we are preparing to appoint a new head of the National Academy of the Ground Forces named after Sahaidachny. The Commander-in-Chief and the Commander of the Ground Forces presented candidates. Five professional military personnel. All have experience in this war and are well-known in the army. I consider each of them worthy of the appointment, but I propose that our military, everyone using the 'Army+' app, participate in the election of the new head of the academy," the president noted.
Zelensky added that today a survey regarding necessary changes in the academy and the selection of its head will start in 'Army+'.
"The survey in 'Army+' will last until January 17 inclusive, and based on the voting results, appropriate decisions will be made and the head of the academy will be appointed," the president concluded.
