The UK, France, and Ukraine will collaborate on a plan to end hostilities, according to Starmer.

In an interview with BBC on March 2, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that he had successful discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump, and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Стармер сообщил, что Великобритания, Франция и Украина совместно разработают план для прекращения боевых действий.

The outcome of the negotiations was an agreement that the United Kingdom, along with France and possibly one or two other countries, will collaborate with Ukraine on a plan to cease hostilities. This plan will then be discussed with the United States, Starmer stated.

"I believe we have taken a step in the right direction," he noted.

Starmer outlined three key points that he believes are essential for a lasting peace in Ukraine:

  • A strong Ukraine that will continue to fight if necessary and will have a robust position for negotiations;
  • A European component with security guarantees;
  • Support from the United States.

According to Starmer, all these elements are necessary to ensure peace.

The Prime Minister of the UK emphasized that Zelensky is "rightly concerned" that the proposed deal "must be fulfilled."

When asked about the demarcation line on land between the aggressor country, Russia, and Ukraine, Starmer declined to answer, stating only: "This is clearly a topic for discussion."

Starmer also expressed his trust in both Zelensky and Trump, believing that the U.S. president desires "lasting peace." He further stated that he does not believe the Ukrainian president—a "man whose country has been at war for three years"—has done anything wrong at the White House.
