The EU Commissioner for Crisis Management, former Belgian Foreign Minister Adja Lyabib, is currently visiting Ukraine.

The European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Crisis Management, Civil Protection, and Equality, former Belgian Foreign Minister Adja LyaBib, has arrived in Kyiv for a visit. She announced this on January 12 on social media platform X.

"I am here today to support this brave nation in the midst of winter. The EU is a friend in any weather, not just in fair weather. We continue to provide substantial humanitarian aid to Ukraine and its people," emphasized the EU Commissioner.

Lahbib paid tribute to the fallen Ukrainian soldiers near the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery, stressing in her message that they "paid the highest price for their country, their people, and the future of us all." "Let it not be in vain," the EU Commissioner emphasized.

She also visited the employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and was present in a shelter during an alert due to the threat of shelling by the aggressor country, Russia.
