The video shows Slovak Minister of Education Tomáš Drucker presenting an award to a student adorned with Ukrainian symbols, while Omani shakes hands with an education worker. Following this, Pellegrini reached out his hand for a similar gesture, but the student turned away from the president.
Omani accused Pellegrini of winning the presidential elections through deceit, particularly by manipulating the topic of the war in Ukraine, initiated by the aggressor country, Russia.
"In addition to populist promises of cheap food and gas, which populists repeat in every election, he also accused his opponent of wanting to send us to war in Ukraine. He would never send us there," the student stated.
He believes that Pellegrini used this lie to provoke fear and anti-Ukrainian sentiments among certain segments of the Slovak population.
"Extending a hand to such people means associating with them. I disagree with him and consider him a fraud and a liar," Omani explained.
