Military engineering and fortification structures built in the Kyiv region, coordinated by the military command, are now prepared to carry out defense tasks. This was reported on January 13 via Facebook by the acting head of the regional military administration, Nikolai Kalashnik.

"It is the defenders who determined where and how construction should take place for maximum effectiveness in deterring the enemy," wrote Kalashnyk.

He shared that he conducted an inspection of the progress of construction work over the weekend.

According to the official, strategically important structures will serve as a "reliable shield for the region."

"Such systematic efforts strengthen the region's defense capabilities and enhance the safety of residents in Kyiv Oblast," Kalashnyk added.
