"Preparing for the second World Summit is a topic that probably deserves a separate discussion. Yes, Ukraine is working on a plan […] based on the outcomes of the first World Summit, developing a three-point plan to present at the second World Summit. Ukraine is actively collaborating with Global South countries to gain their support," Nikiforov stated.
In an interview with representatives of leading media outlets from Northern Europe, published on October 30 on the YouTube channel "Ze!President," Zelensky declared that Ukraine is ready for the aggressor country, Russia, to participate in the second World Summit, but there needs to be a plan to prevent Moscow from blocking any peace initiatives.
Specifically, Ukraine is prepared to enhance its plan with points proposed by Global South countries, such as China and Brazil, provided they are based on the UN Charter and contribute to halting hostilities, the president noted.
"We are ready, we are very open... But when they heard that I was ready, they said that Ukraine only wants its own plan. No," Zelensky emphasized.
According to him, Ukraine will prepare a peace plan in November regardless, and if there are proposals from other countries, a joint plan may be created.
"If they [Global South countries] want to invite [illegitimate Russian president Vladimir] Putin, fine, let them invite him. But there is one thing. He doesn't want to because he doesn't know what to do after this war, what he will do next. That’s his plan. We have our plan, but he has his own plan," Zelensky summarized.
