The politician did not specify a particular date for negotiations but confirmed that Putin "wants to meet, and we are preparing for that," the agency emphasized.
The Kremlin has not yet commented on his statement. However, as noted by Reuters, earlier, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that if Trump intends to reach out to the Russian president after his inauguration on January 20, it would be welcomed in Moscow.
