Trump has invited China's President Xi Jinping to his inauguration, according to reports.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping has been invited to the inauguration of the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump, scheduled for January 20, 2025, in Washington. CBS News reported this on December 11, citing sources.
СМИ сообщают, что Трамп пригласил на свою инаугурацию председателя КНР Си Цзиньпина.

According to the television channel, Trump personally invited the Chinese leader in early November, shortly after the elections, but "it was unclear whether he accepted the invitation."

In addition to Xi Jinping, several other foreign leaders are likely to attend the inauguration ceremony of the new president, the report states.

"World leaders are lining up to meet President Trump," said transition team spokesperson Caroline Livitt.

CBS News notes that foreign ambassadors and other diplomats are typically invited to the inauguration, but according to the U.S. State Department, no foreign leader has ever attended the power transfer ceremony at the White House since 1874.
