"The Russian propaganda machine will attempt to undermine our efforts to achieve a just and sustainable world. We will enhance our communication capabilities, implement new communication campaigns, and effectively counter Russian false narratives around the globe," he wrote.
The diplomat noted that in 2024, the communication campaigns of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reached over 1 billion people worldwide, realizing "hundreds of public diplomacy projects in various parts of the world."
Sybiha outlined six key tasks for Ukrainian diplomacy this year:
- to maintain and strengthen military support for Ukraine, "despite electoral cycles in key partner countries";
- to promote Ukraine's interests in relations with China, India, and other countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, while expanding diplomatic presence and developing a policy of good neighborliness;
- to advance negotiations on Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic and Euro-integration as quickly as possible;
- to achieve a "significant increase in the cost of war for the aggressor," including through sanctions policy;
- to fully implement the "eConsul" system, providing consular services to Ukrainians abroad;
- to promote the brand "Ukraine."
"All of this will require intensified work, readiness to respond quickly and effectively, and to apply unconventional approaches. Ukrainian diplomacy will act proactively to create favorable conditions for Ukraine, rather than merely reacting to the course of international processes. Our main task will remain the consolidation of international support to overcome Russian aggression and restore a comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace for our state," Sybiha explained.
