The Verkhovna Rada has extended the deadline for voluntary return to service for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who left their units without permission (AWOL) until March 1. This information was shared on January 9 via Telegram by Iryna Vereshchuk, the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"The Verkhovna Rada has supported the extension of the deadline for voluntary return from the SOCH until March 1, 2025. Thank you to the people's deputies for their constructiveness and promptness," she wrote.
"Ukrinform" notes that this concerns the draft law №12076, which was supported by 298 people's deputies, surpassing the necessary 226 votes for adoption.
On January 4, Vereshchuk wrote that "the deadline for voluntary return to service from the SOCH expired on January 1" and there is an idea to extend this deadline.
