Last time, the Rada extended the martial law on October 29 of last year – until February 7, 2025.
The MP reminded that for the extension of martial law and general mobilization, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky must submit two draft laws to parliament to approve his decrees. According to Zheleznyak, this will likely happen on Monday.
After that, the Rada's Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence must approve the drafts, after which they will be put to a vote. The documents must also be signed by the president.
It is expected that the martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine will be extended until May 9.
"This will be the 14th time the Rada votes on martial law and mobilization," Zheleznyak noted.
