Palatny announced that former acting mayor of Chernihiv, Lomako, has been apprehended by security forces.

In Chernihiv, law enforcement officials detained and took in an unknown direction the former acting mayor of the city, Alexander Lomako, who is also the leader of the UDAR party in the Chernihiv region. This was reported by Arthur Palatny, the first deputy chairman of the political party.
Палатный сообщил, что силовики задержали экс-временного мэра Чернигова Ломако.

"Today, in the middle of the day, the leader of the UDAR party in the Chernihiv region, Oleksandr Lomako, was detained and taken in an unknown direction. There is no communication with Oleksandr. Yesterday, he made a statement indicating that law enforcement received an order 'from the center to catch Lomako at any cost,' and he mentioned that, according to his information, 'guests' were expected to visit him soon, referring to the law enforcement," wrote Palatny.

He emphasized that the repression against political opponents is destroying Ukraine, just as its enemies do.

"UDAR is a political opponent of the ruling party, but this does not give the authorities any right to employ repressive measures against political opponents. Attempts to roll back democracy are destroying the country, just as its enemies do. Whoever gave the order for the violent crackdown on Oleksandr Lomako is an enemy of Ukraine," Palatny stated. "Now this story will circulate through all the media. How will Ukraine appear in the eyes of its partners, whose government claims to protect democracy in the country?"
