Lomako: The authorities were instructed to "dig up" anything they can find on me.

Alexander Lomako, who resigned as acting mayor of Chernihiv on December 20, 2024, stated that law enforcement received orders from central authorities to initiate any case against him and carry out searches. Lomako shared this information on his Telegram channel.
Ломако: Силовики получили указание найти на меня любые компрометирующие материалы.

"The center has instructed the security forces to catch Lomako at any cost. Even the "acting mayor" in exile poses a significant threat to the authorities. I have information that the security forces have been ordered once again to "dig up" anything they can against me. They are very annoyed that I openly call criminals and corrupt officials by their names," Lomako stated.

He expressed the opinion that the persecution is happening because he openly voices his stance.

"It is clear that this time their motivation is not just political pressure, but rather an allergy to anyone with a differing viewpoint. Yes, I express my position, which is supported by the residents of Chernihiv. And this evidently irritates some people a lot. Honest workers from one agency warned me that I will soon have "guests" again," the politician stated.

He reminded the instigators of the pressure about their legal responsibilities.

"I strongly urge the initiators of this disgraceful act: leave Chernihiv alone! You have already overrun the city with your "burdens." People and the law will eventually evaluate both the local saboteurs and their leaders from the center. In due time. Definitely!" Lomako emphasized.

He added that he is not afraid of visits from "guests" since the times of Leonid Kuchma and Viktor Yanukovych's presidencies.

"They also thought they would be eternal. And where are they all now?" Lomako stressed.
