According to him, Poroshenko's eldest son voluntarily joined the ATO in 2014, serving under a different surname "to reduce the risk of pressure" on his father, and was the commander of a mortar crew near Kramatorsk.
"In 2019, after completing his parliamentary term, junior lieutenant Alexey Poroshenko signed a contract with an international company and went abroad for work. As a result, he was removed from all types of records – military, tax, passport – in accordance with the law more than five years ago. His officer's ID has been stored at the Pechersk TCC in Kyiv. A certificate confirming his removal from all records is provided," wrote Golovan.
The lawyer emphasized that the leadership of the Pechersk TCC was promptly informed about this, so sending a summons to the son of the ex-president "constitutes a direct violation of legal procedure and abuse of power."
"There were and are no grounds to claim that he is unlawfully evading military service," Golovan stressed.
He added that Alexey Poroshenko's lawyers have already paid a fine on his behalf, "but without any acknowledgment of guilt on his part," and announced legal measures to lift the freeze on his accounts, followed by an appeal of the TCC's actions in court.
